The San Antonio Abad
Cooperative is made up of more than 800 viticulturists and possesses around 4.500 acres of
vineyards, where the production of BOBAL (autochthonous variety), and the well known
TEMPRANILLO, SYRAH, VIURA, etc., allows for the incomparable characteristics of our wines.
Our weather climate is
continental with Mediterranean influences. The altitude above sea level is 720m., with
inferior precipitations of 400 mm./a year and a luminosity of 2.400 hours of sunlight a
year.We cultivate on dry land, on 40 year old vineyard plantations, on dry clayey land
with very little organic matter.
The vineyards are pruned using
the traditional system in form of a “glass” and a plantation density of 1.200
vines per acre, distributed in “square” form.Thanks to these privileged
agronomical conditions we harvest racemes with great quality potential and we obtain
excellent aromatic wines.
